I have always loved the theatre very much. I have been going to the theatre since I was very young.
In consequence, from the moment I started working for “Paraskinio”, I picked theatre related topics regularly.
That was how I got to make the films on Eleni Papadaki, Dimitris Rondiris, Amalia Moutoussi, Aleka Paizi, Christine Tsingos, Yannis Houvardas, Yorgos Loukos, the 'sanctity' of the Epidaurus theatre, Lydia Photopoulou, etc.

Many of those pictures involved filming rehearsals over long periods of time.
There had always been debate in “Paraskinio” as to whether it is possible to capture the essence of the theatre process or it is just a series of rehearsal scenes used to “spruce up” a theatre portrait.

n the fall of 2007, I made a first attempt to film the theatre process systematically, while working on a “Paraskinio” documentary about the staging of Ovid’s Metamorphoses, by Thomas Moschopoulos and his ensemble at The Amore theatre.
That was the first time. The filming lasted for seven months, as long as the rehearsals themselves.
I think the result was very revealing, as far as the theatre process was concerned.

My next work involved once again Thomas Moschopoulos and, more less, the same ensemble. I was asked to make the video that was going to be part of “Medusa”, a performance staged by Moschopoulos at the Athens Festival, in 2011.
In 2013 I made “Golfo at Epidaurus”, for the Athens Festival, and after that four more pictures for the Onassis Foundation Cultural Centre.
