This film was made with very little money as part of my participation in the exhibition dedicated to my teacher and close friend, Lakis Papastathis.
I soon realized, however, that it also represented a major opportunity to document the history of Cinetic, and of Paraskinio. After all, Lakis would never have been the same person or artist without Paraskinio.
And without his main collaborator, Takis Chatzopoulos. I knew that an opportunity for such a record would be unlikely to arise again.
Because of the exhibition, the emotion surrounding it and the presence of all the surviving collaborators of Cinetic, everyone was given the opportunity to come to the Benaki Museum, where all the filming took place. From every generation.
More than thirty speakers participated, while an exceptionally rich body of archival material was incorporated.
I decided to give the film a strongly personal character, because this is essentially my family. Thus, I also took on the narration, in a film focused primarily on Lakis Papastathis, but also on Takis Chatzopoulos, and of course on Cinetic and Paraskinio.
The first and, to date, only screening took place on 4 June 2025, in the auditorium of the Benaki Museum, in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, before an audience that included many people whose lives had been shaped by Paraskinio.
